A New Year

Every year I tell myself (just like millions of other people) that I'm going to stick to my list of resolutions. It can be a little overwhelming and disappointing, especially when you fail to stick to them within the first month! Personally, I've always done better with goals. Don't get me wrong, I'm no stranger to falling off the goal wagon, but when I write down specific goals, (that really mean a lot to me) I tend to work a little harder to reach them.

At the beginning of 2012 I set a few goals that led to a really great year!

For example, I set a goal for my shop to sell at least one item a day. Instead of 365, I sold 413 items. At first I secretly thought I was being unrealistic, but each month, I was pleasantly surprised when I met my "quota."

I decided to think bigger and have already set new goals for 2013, but instead of resolutions, I wanted to incorporate one word and apply it to all aspects of my life. Inspired by Layla over at The Lettered Cottage, my word for 2013 is:

RUN

With a new name, branding, and packaging, I'm feeling pretty confident that I'm going to RUN my business better. I still have a lot of work to do to get my shop in order, but I'm getting closer and hope to have a new line of journals as well as other paper items ready this month.

Just to name a few, I plan to also...
  • RUN for my health.
  • RUN away with Kevin as much as possible.
  • RUN a tight ship at home.
  • RUN with my peeps (Kevin & the kids) to places I may or may not want to go.
I'm really looking forward to it and will keep you posted throughout the year.

What are you planning on doing in 2013?
